Botodesigns First NY Show! Recap

Last weekend marked the first ever Botodesigns craft show in NY! I decided to test the waters by selling two days in a row at Artists and Fleas Indoor Designer Market in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The show was great and it was wonderful to have so many NY friends come out to show support.

The show goes from 12-8 on Saturdays and Sundays so it was a long two days but the atmosphere was warm and friendly. I made some new pals and even reunited with a classmate from Pratt, Brookadelphia's Amber Zezeck. Amber and her sis make awesome laser cut jewelry with quirky words and images. Sam and I just couldn't resist buying a pink unicorn necklace for his sis Amy's birthday (which she loved!)

We also bought a beautiful shirt for Sam's mama's birthday from Umsteigen, an amazing clothing company, who I will be coming back to for some personal shopping ;)

Since the show was a success I will definitely be looking into doing more shows next year in NY. Can't wait to see you again soon!

NEW! Robot Bicycle T-shirt

New to the Botodesigns shop this week is the Robot Bicycle Mens/Unisex T-shirt.

The shirt features Boto the roboto riding his beloved 1-speed bike with Planto hitching a ride in the bike basket. The Japanese characters say "Charinko" which is slang for bike.

The shirt is a 4-color screen print on a super soft and comfortable Lemon American Apparel Fine Jersey Cotton T-Shirt.

My new etsy treasury is inspired by the travels of Carmen Sandiego. I had the theme song from the show in my head all week long so I couldn't resist making a treasury based on the show. West Philly's Satellite Second Saturday Nov. 14

I got a last minute spot in a great show in West Philly!

Satellite Second Saturday's is a fun new West Philly event that brings local artists and musicians together for a craft show and performance. Stop by this Saturday, Nov. 14 from 11-5pm at the Danger Danger Gallery at 5013 Baltimore Ave. for the craft show and make sure you go across the street to VIX Emporium's 2nd Anniversary Celebration which will feature live performances and refreshments!

Planto Loves My New Custom Boto Baby Painting!

Don't get me wrong I love selling on Etsy, but I decided recently that I would test out Artfire.com. What sold me was the fact that buyers don't need to become members of Artfire in order to purchase. They can simply add something to their cart and buy it via Paypal or Amazon payments. Etsy is a wonderful community but the purchasing process can sometimes be confusing for new buyers who are not yet members.
