Movin On Up!

I passed 100 sales in my etsy shop today! This rocks!

I joined last September just to see if anyone would be interested in some little postcards I painted with robots. Now I have an entire collection of characters that I paint on canvases, turn into dolls, print on tees and more. Who knew!

Quiting my job to make Boto a full time thing is proving to be a great decision!

Thanks everyone that shopped (and continues to shop) botodesigns, and to all the people who hearted me and send me lovely encouraging convos!

Boto in the Park Recap

First, I want to thank everyone that came out to the Clark Park Music and Arts Fest on Saturday. It was a great event!

Here's a little recap for those who couldn't make it or for those who want to be reminded:
Babies played in the playground, bands rocked out, West Phillyians picnicked, Obama supporters sold brownies to people "hungry for change," children battled to the (fake) death with foam swords, Spiral Q puppets paraded and Botodesigns fed robot and plant lovers addictions by providing art, accessories and clothing for all.

The sun was showing off its stuff on the solstice, and it felt like the whole neighborhood came out to participate in this friendly community event.

Spiral Q graced us with their vibrant presence.

Sam took a break from boto assisting and got a pay-per-minute massage.

Dr. Frank Chance, president of Friends of Clark Park, stopped by with Panda and picked up a Sumoboto pin.

Boto In The Park

Thinking of how to spend your Saturday afternoon? Well if listening to live music, buying handmade art and hanging in the park sound good to you then head west to the Clark Park Music and Arts Fest.

Me and my Botos will have a table set up for your perusing pleasure. So come to shop, mingle and rock!

Up up and away!

Botodesigns is soaring to new heights! Thursday, June 12 will be my official last day at my full time office job. I decided that life is too short to spend it at an office when all I want to do is make art/rock the Boto.

>self plug alert<

Tell your friends and relations that Botodesigns is open for business for any custom artiness, consignment, gallery show and general spreading around of robot (and plant) love. Thanks for all your support. I've been doing this for less than a year and have already met so many great people who have inspired me to make my decision. I owe a lot to Etsy for their amazing site that made it easy for me to get my work out there and meet many wonderful sellers and buyers.

So, here we go! GANBARU!

Check out 2 new postcard paintings available at my shop.
